Summer

With picturesque landscape of Maine all around you, summertime is a perfect time to visit. There are several lakes within a 20-mile radius to enjoy fishing, boating, water-skiing, kayaking, and swimming under the warm Maine sun; Ocean beaches are only an hour away; Mountains nearby for hiking and biking; The Saco River for canoeing.

For children there are several amusement parks within a 60-90 minute drive. Finally, on the rainy days there is North Conway, NH, a short 30 minute drive with tax free outlet shopping.

Fall

The fall brings beautiful foliage to the Maine Lakes Region. The Kancamangus Highway is only 30 minutes away. You can take a trip thought the mountains with the brilliant colors all around you. The fall also brings the fair season to Maine and with it the largest agricultural fair in the State of Maine, the Fryeburg Fair. The Fryeburg Fair has something for everyone and is only 8 miles from Punkin Valley Restaurant and Motel.

Winter

Access to 600 miles of groomed snowmobile trails right from your motel room with plenty of parking for trailers! Shawnee Peak Ski Area, a family mountain is right around the corner; you can even see the trails from some of the motel rooms. During the winter you may also enjoy ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, and the Mushers Bowl, professional sled-dog races. Punkin Valley Restaurant and Motel located in Bridgton, ME is a fantastic winter destination.

  

Spring

Spring in Maine is the forgotten season, but if you’re looking to get away and enjoy the peace and tranquility of country roads this is the time of year to visit. The temps are just right and the rivers are at their grandest, with spring run off filling them to the edge of their banks; they are a sight to behold! Enjoy Maine the way the locals have before the rush of the summer crowds.
